Latest Commissions:
Teenage Minds (1 x 60 BBC)
We are currently working on an observational documentary called Teenage Minds which follows the stories of those who have experienced or are experiencing mental illness as young adults. It will be told through the personal testimonies of young people and those close to them who have been affected by their condition and have supported them through it.
Howson's War (1 x 60 BBC Scot/BBC 4)
We are following Scottish artist Peter Howson on his spiritual and artistic journey to complete his latest and biggest commission - a massive 28' x 18' canvas for the Catholic Church of the Martyrdom of St John Ogilvie. The documentary will also tell the story of Howson's rise to fame as an artist, through his hedonistic 'Sex, Drugs and Rock and Roll' phase to his near death experience that led to an epiphany and him becoming a teetotal, born-again Christian. Howson has Asperger's syndrome and is frequently troubled with dark apocalyptic thoughts.
History of the Future - Cars (1 x 30 BBC 4)
George Cathro directed History of the Future - Cars presented by Phill Jupitus for Happy Endings Productions. Phill looks at how we thought the car of the future was going to turn out and finds out why it didn't happen. It focuses on the classic era of the 1950s and 60s, a time when they hadn't quite yet worked out how to make cars fly and instead just made them look like they could. Phill visits the places where the future of motoring seemed to have arrived and learns about the visioneers who had let their imaginations rove in the heroic days before marketing and "sustainability" domesticated the car into the homogenous transports we see today.
