This half hour documentary spotlights some of Scotland's most promising young athletes who have their sights set on taking part in the 2012 Olympics.

For many, competing in the Olympics on home turf will be the chance of a lifetime. These stars of the future have all received lottery funding to train and hopefully turn their dreams into reality.

From mountain biking to fencing, Tae Kwon Do to disability athletics, this documentary profiles a selection of these young talents and asks what it takes, both mentally and physically, to be an Olympic standard athlete.

Drawing on the testaments from Scotland's previous Olympic heroes, we will discover the thoughts of Scottish Olympians - Past Present and Future.
